Ultrafiltration systems work through a membrane separation process called ultrafiltration. It uses a special semi-permeable membrane that has micropores or pores that filter out larger molecules and particles while allowing smaller solutes and solutions to pass through.
When the liquid to be treated passes through the ultrafiltration system, the suspended matter, solid particles, bacteria, viruses, colloids and macromolecules in the liquid are blocked by the micropores or pores on the membrane, and cannot pass through the membrane and are separated.
The ultrafiltration system uses a hollow fiber membrane to stop solid debris, microscopic contaminants, bacteria and
microorganisms. UF is a mechanical filter, but it can filter water down to the superfine level of 0.01~0.1um , hence the name ultrafiltration.
